Katharina Rath appointed as DB Schenker’s new global CHRO

New Board Member to join DB Schenker in December • Internationally experienced HR expert coming from Continental Automotive Technologies • Thomas Schulz to leave Schenker at the end of his appointment period

The Supervisory Board of Schenker AG has appointed Katharina Rath as the new Member of the Board of Management for Human Resources. The 47 year old will assume her new role on December 1, 2020. For almost two decades, Katharina Rath has held several positions at Continental Automotive Technologies, most recently as Senior Vice President Human Relations, Automotive Technologies and Holistic Engineering & Technologies and as Member of the Automotive Board. She earned a degree in Psychology (Diploma) from the University of Regensburg.

“Katharina Rath is an internationally experienced expert in various fields of HR. The Supervisory Board and I are very pleased to have gained her talent, knowledge and leadership skills for the DB Schenker Board of Management”, said Dr. Levin Holle, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Schenker AG.

Ms. Rath will follow Thomas Schulz who, after eight years as CHRO, will be leaving Schenker on October 31, 2020 at the end of his regular appointment period. “On behalf of the entire Board of Management, I would like to thank Thomas Schulz for his successful work at Schenker. Over the past eight years, he has demonstrated dedication and commitment in the area of Human Resources. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” said Jochen Thewes.
