Japanese-headquartered Yusen Logistics has launched an express service for emergency air cargo shipments arriving at Guangzhou Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in China.
The freight forwarder and logistics firm says after freight comes into Guangzhou airport, it will be collected from the airport terminal within six hours as a minimum lead-time and so provide customers with a swift import service.
Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is one of the three largest airports in China, behind Shanghai and Beijing and growth has been drive by the expansion of science and technology innovation business.
Handling capacity of passenger flights and cargo flights has also expanded and in April,2018, Guangzhou Terminal II started operation.Yusen Logistics said with volume handling capacity increasing hugely in Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, it usually takes at least one day after arrival at the local airport to collect consolidated cargo.
The company added: “To achieve special requests for urgent cargoes, we established a special team in Guangzhou and launched an emergency order service that gives priority to import declarations. This will enable us to pick up cargo from the terminal within six hours after cargo arrival at Guangzhou airport.“Going forward, Yusen Logistics will continue to provide bespoke supply chain logistics.”
