The full-service provider Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Polska is taking over contract logistics services for Namysłów Brewery, which was acquired by Polish beer producer Grupa Żywiec in 2019.
Hellmann and the brewery group are thus significantly expanding their business relationship: Starting in 2015, Hellmann has performed warehouse operations in its branch in Gdańsk and subsequently in the Hellmann warehouse in Poznań. Additionally, Hellmann provides road transport services for the brewery group which produces beer in five brewery locations in Poland.
Over the past few months, Hellmann Contract Logistics has been working with the Grupa Żywiecto to build the infrastructure necessary for the successful launch of an in-house logistics project at the brewery in Namysłów, with the official opening in April 2021. As part of the cooperation, Hellmann provides in-house logistics services, creating and effectively managing processes that optimize the flow of goods. Logistics operations are carried out by employees of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Polska on the site of the Namysłów Brewery, using the customer’s infrastructure. Through the management and supervision of logistics processes in the warehouse in Namysłów, Hellmann supports the brewery group in monitoring and streamlining supply chain management in terms of goods unloading/loading, fulfillment of orders from the finished goods warehouse, deliveries of goods from the warehouse to the production line as well as their receipt and transport to the distribution warehouse.
