Delta Cargo and LATAM Cargo are celebrating their partnership. Through this partnership, both airlines aim to expand their operations and business opportunities. The partnership aims to offer enhanced cargo capacity for customers, as well as seamless connections and access to an expanded product offering. Delta Cargo’s partnership with LATAM Cargo provides access to more than 300 destinations spanning the US, Canada, and South America, encompassing Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay. Co-located cargo facilities, such as those in Atlanta (ATL), Sao Paulo (GRU), and Rio de Janeiro (GIG), ensure a smooth and efficient experience for customers.
Delta Cargo will soon have a new head starting on 1 June 2024. Peter Penseel will join Delta Air Lines as SVP and President of its cargo division. Penseel will join Delta from CEVA Logistics where he was the Chief Operating Officer of their airfreight division. Apart from LATAM Cargo, Delta Cargo also holds joint ventures with Aeromexico, Air France-KLM, Korean Air, and Virgin Atlantic Cargo. Delta operates a mixed fleet of over 900 aircraft, including both Boeing and Airbus models. The airline primarily utilizes the belly cargo space of its passenger aircraft, while LATAM Cargo operates Boeing 767 freighters in its fleet.
