Royal Jordanian Airlines is celebrating a major milestone: 35 years of cargo operations at Maastricht Aachen Airport (MST). The Jordanian flag carrier has played a key role in connecting the Netherlands with global markets, operating 3 to 4 full freighter flights per week to the expanding Dutch air cargo hub.
A Partnership Built on Trust and Efficiency
For over three decades, MST has been a strategic gateway for Royal Jordanian’s cargo division, known for its efficiency, reliability, and strong customer service. According to Ibrahim Theodory, Station Manager at Royal Jordanian Maastricht, the decision to work with MST was an easy one.
“The speed, service, and trust at the airport are exceptional. Add to that the accessibility and friendly staff, and you simply don’t want anything else,” he said.
Investing in the Future of Air Cargo
MST has been making significant investments to enhance its cargo handling capabilities, ensuring it remains a top choice for global carriers. A recent 40% investment from Royal Schiphol Group is set to further boost the airport’s expansion and strengthen its role as a key logistics hub in Europe.
Dean Boljuncic, Head of Commercial Development at Maastricht Aachen Airport, expressed pride in the long-standing partnership with Royal Jordanian.
“Every day, our team is dedicated to providing custom-made cargo handling services. This milestone highlights the strength of our collaboration and our commitment to excellence.”
Industry-Leading Performance
MST has built a strong reputation for operational efficiency, achieving an on-time performance rate of over 98% in 2024, well above the industry benchmark of 95%. With increasing global demand for cargo capacity, MST continues to position itself as a leading hub for air freight in Europe.
As Royal Jordanian and MST celebrate this milestone, both partners remain committed to innovation, reliability, and the seamless movement of goods worldwide.
