Airbridge International Agencies (AIA) has announced a change in senior leadership, appointing Sarah Macfarlane as its new Chief Executive, while Jake Holliday has been named Chief Executive of sister company Animal Aircare.
Ms Macfarlane returned to AIA in 2025 as Vice President of Cargo Sales and Services, where she oversaw several of the company’s key markets. She previously spent more than a decade with AIA as UK Sales Manager, before leaving in 2024 to take up the role of Commercial Director at APG Cargo.
With 28 years of experience across the airline and general sales agent (GSA) sector, Ms Macfarlane brings extensive commercial and operational expertise to the role. Her career also includes positions with leading airlines such as KLM and ANA, further strengthening her understanding of both carrier and agency perspectives.
Jake Holliday, who will now lead Animal Aircare, joined the business in 2021 during the launch of its Heathrow operations. Since then, he has played a key role in the company’s expansion to Luton and Stansted airports, and was promoted to UK Manager last year. His appointment reflects the company’s continued focus on specialist live-animal logistics and service-led growth.
The leadership changes follow the departure of Giuseppe Tarantini, who was appointed Chief Executive of both businesses in July last year. In a statement shared on LinkedIn, Mr Tarantini said he would be stepping down after a “short but intense and eventful” period in charge.
He congratulated both Ms Macfarlane and Mr Holliday on their appointments, expressing confidence that they would bring renewed energy and fresh ideas to the organisations. He also thanked employees across AIA Cargo and Animal Aircare for their professionalism and continued support.
The appointments mark a new chapter for both businesses as they continue to strengthen their market positions and expand service offerings within the global air cargo and specialist logistics sectors.
