ECS Group has appointed Girish Kunder as Regional Manager for the Indian Subcontinent (ISC), reinforcing its strategic focus on one of the world’s fastest-growing air cargo markets. Based in India, Kunder will lead the group’s regional operations through Globe Air Cargo and AVS, with a mandate to accelerate digital transformation, deepen airline partnerships, and expand commercial opportunities across India and neighbouring markets.
The move highlights ECS Group’s long-term strategy of combining global capabilities with strong local expertise, particularly within high-growth sectors such as e-commerce, pharmaceuticals, and data-driven logistics. The company’s Asian footprint currently comprises 32 subsidiaries across 14 countries, supporting over 50 airline partners through an integrated offering of commercial, digital, and operational services.
“Taking on this new role represents both a professional milestone and a mission of purpose,” said Girish Kunder, Regional Manager, Indian Subcontinent, ECS Group. “The Indian Subcontinent is a powerhouse for air cargo growth, driven by e-commerce, pharma, and rapid digitalisation. I aim to position ECS Group as the preferred GSSA partner for airlines in this region by delivering data-led solutions that enhance performance and profitability while creating long-term value for our customers.”
In his new role, Kunder will focus on strengthening the group’s airline relationships, expanding market presence, and enhancing digitalisation to improve operational efficiency and customer experience. Backed by ECS Group’s global ecosystem—including Aerion, CargoTech, Healthc’Air, Mail&More, and Squair—he will work to elevate the region’s service capabilities and competitiveness.
“Girish’s appointment reinforces ECS Group’s long-term vision to build local excellence supported by global resources,” said Jean Ceccaldi, CEO of ECS Group. India and the wider Subcontinent are essential growth engines for our airline partners. With Girish’s leadership, deep market knowledge, and strong customer focus, we are poised to scale our presence and deliver best-in-class solutions across key verticals such as pharma, e-commerce, and digital logistics.”
The appointment marks a significant step in ECS Group’s strategy to strengthen its regional leadership in Asia and capture rising air cargo demand from one of the industry’s most dynamic markets.
