FAI Aviation Group, Germany’s leading provider of mission-critical aviation services, is set to make its first-ever appearance at the Dubai Airshow, taking place from 17–21 November. The company will exhibit at Booth 637 within the German Pavilion, marking an important milestone as it celebrates 23 years of operations in the UAE — a market that today represents nearly 20% of FAI’s global VIP charter and air ambulance missions.
FAI Aviation Group, known for its fixed-wing air ambulance, private jet charter, aircraft management, and MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) services, aims to leverage the Dubai Airshow to strengthen regional partnerships and showcase its end-to-end aviation capabilities to a global audience.
Leadership Presence at the Show
The company’s Dubai-based Managing Director, Barbara Baumgartner, who marks 22 years with FAI this year, will lead the exhibitor team alongside Michael Axtmann, Managing Director of FAI Technik, the Group’s dedicated MRO division.
“We are delighted to be exhibiting at the Dubai Airshow, alongside over 1,400 exhibitors from 98 countries,” Baumgartner said. “The Middle East is a crucial market for us — not only through our part-Bahrain ownership but also due to our round-the-clock support for long-range air ambulance missions, corporate flights, government travel, and our world-class MRO services through FAI Technik.”
She added that Dubai’s geographical position remains a strategic advantage: “From Dubai, we can reach two-thirds of the world’s population within six to eight hours, making it an ideal hub between Europe, Germany—our headquarters—and Asia.”
Growing Demand for MRO and Cabin Upgrades
With business aviation activity rising across the Middle East, demand for high-quality MRO, cabin refurbishment, and full interior retrofit work has also increased.
“During the show, I look forward to engaging with existing and potential customers seeking third-party maintenance or cabin retrofit services,” said Axtmann. Recent standout projects include FAI Technik’s high-end Challenger 604 full interior retrofit, showcasing the division’s craftsmanship and technical capability.
FAI’s MRO operations are primarily conducted at its three state-of-the-art EASA Part-145 certified hangars in Nuremberg, Germany, while its Dubai office continues to serve as a key regional coordination hub for its charter, air ambulance, and maintenance divisions.
A Strategic Step in a Key Global Market
FAI’s participation in the Dubai Airshow underscores the company’s long-standing commitment to the Middle East — a region that continues to expand its global aviation footprint. By presenting its comprehensive suite of aviation services, FAI aims to reinforce its position as one of the world’s most versatile and trusted mission-critical aviation providers.
The debut not only highlights FAI’s regional growth but also aligns with the Dubai Airshow’s reputation as a premier global stage for innovation, partnerships, and technological advancement in aviation and aerospace.
