CKTS Company Limited Enhances Efficiency with GALAXY Cargo Management System
Kale Logistics Solutions (Kale) has taken a significant step in modernizing air cargo operations at Kansai International Airport, Osaka, Japan. CKTS Company Limited (CKTS), a key ground handler at the airport, has successfully implemented Kale’s GALAXY airport cargo management system to automate customs clearance processes.
The introduction of GALAXY has optimized shipment triggering and document acceptance, eliminating inefficiencies caused by manual data entry and disconnected workflows. This initiative aims to reduce delays, streamline operations, and enhance productivity.
“Kale has been at the forefront of air cargo digitalization worldwide, and this launch marks our strategic expansion into the Japanese market,” said Atsushi Kato, Management Advisor, CKTS Company Limited.
“At CKTS, we are eager to harness the potential of Kale’s flagship GALAXY system and anticipate long-term benefits from its advanced capabilities.”
Kansai International Airport serves as a critical hub for major airlines in Japan, with CKTS managing approximately 140,000 tons of air cargo annually.
“GALAXY has already proven its value to numerous global partners, and its adoption in Japan represents a transformative step for ground handling operations in the region,” stated Vineet Malhotra, Co-founder and Director of Kale Logistics Solutions.
“The ability to customize proprietary messaging is a key milestone for Kale as a digital trade facilitator, and we are eager to further enhance CKTS operations in the upcoming deployment phases.”
To ensure a smooth transition, Kale’s GALAXY system is being introduced in stages, allowing for the seamless integration of existing infrastructure while maintaining uninterrupted cargo operations. The next phase of implementation will introduce handheld terminals for key warehouse functions, facilitating real-time shipment arrival reporting to customs and enhancing overall operational efficiency.
