Global logistics company Kuehne+Nagel announces the expansion of its healthcare contract logistics network in the United States with a new multi-client and GDP compliant facility adjacent to Indianapolis International Airport.
The investment into the 166,000 square feet healthcare site will support the growing need for distribution facilities that are able to meet strict quality, regulatory and temperature requirements.
Kuehne+Nagel is positioning the necessary infrastructure within key locations, such as Indianapolis, to better enable nationwide distribution and ensure patient access to vital healthcare products such as diabetes products.
The site is part of a healthcare logistics campus designed to maximize the scalability, flexibility and reach of Kuehne+Nagel customers by integrating transportation and distribution management activities in the same facility.
In addition, the site will be managed by tier 1 warehouse management systems, automation, and experienced personnel who understand specialized healthcare product requirements within a highly regulated environment.
