SAL Logistics Services, Saudi Arabia’s leading provider of cargo handling, logistics, and supply chain solutions, has announced its first international expansion through a strategic partnership with TAM Group, a prominent global air cargo services provider. The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Transport Logistic Southeast Asia Exhibition in Singapore, one of the world’s foremost gatherings for the logistics and transport industries.
This partnership marks a significant milestone for SAL as it establishes its first international foothold in China—one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing logistics and e-commerce markets. Through the collaboration, SAL and TAM Group aim to enhance air cargo connectivity between China and Saudi Arabia, strengthen trade flows, and develop innovative freight solutions designed to increase efficiency and support the expanding needs of global commerce.
The agreement comes at a time when China remains a central hub in global supply chains, while Saudi Arabia continues to advance its ambitions under the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Vision 2030, which seek to position the Kingdom as a premier global logistics hub linking three continents.
Omar Hariri, CEO of SAL Logistics Services, described the move as a cornerstone in the company’s international growth strategy.
“As part of SAL’s expansion strategy, we are proud to announce our first international presence in China—the world’s largest export market—through this partnership with TAM Group,” Hariri said. “This collaboration will empower Chinese companies to expand into Saudi Arabia and leverage the Kingdom’s strategic location as a global distribution centre, supported by SAL’s integrated logistics capabilities. It represents a pivotal step in enhancing trade connectivity between the two nations and in supporting the growth of e-commerce and global trade flows.”
The partnership will focus on strengthening air cargo corridors, particularly in high-growth sectors such as e-commerce, perishables, pharmaceuticals, and high-value goods, offering optimised solutions for faster and more reliable movement of goods between Asia and the Middle East.
Alvin Tam, Senior Vice President – Commercial of TAM Group, emphasised the synergy between the two organisations:
“We are proud to collaborate with SAL, a leading name in logistics services in the Kingdom. This partnership combines our international experience with SAL’s advanced operational capabilities to enhance air cargo networks and extend connectivity between Saudi Arabia and major global markets.”
The agreement reflects SAL’s broader commitment to building strategic international alliances that reinforce its global reach, strengthen Saudi Arabia’s air cargo infrastructure, and contribute to the Kingdom’s role as a central logistics hub for cross-continental trade.
With this partnership, SAL takes a decisive step toward realising its long-term vision—bridging Asia and the Middle East with integrated logistics solutions that drive global connectivity and sustainable trade growth.
