Fast-growing UAE-based cargo carrier SolitAir has announced further expansion of its regional network, launching scheduled cargo services to Beirut, Lebanon, and Kuwait, while also securing the lease of two additional Boeing 737-800 freighters.
The Dubai World Central (DWC)-based airline confirmed its new destinations via LinkedIn posts, stating, “We’re proud to announce the launch of our inaugural flight to Beirut, strengthening SolitAir’s commitment to providing faster, smarter, and more reliable cargo solutions.” In a separate update, the carrier added, “SolitAir is now flying direct to Kuwait.”
In addition to its latest destinations, Logistics Gulf News reported that Bahrain has also been added to SolitAir’s scheduled operations—marking another step in the airline’s rapidly expanding Middle East footprint.
The network growth follows SolitAir’s receipt of its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority in March 2024. Since then, the carrier has launched services to Bangalore and Erbil in January and began flights to Riyadh in late 2023.
Supporting this growth strategy, SolitAir has signed a lease agreement with World Star Aviation for two Boeing 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighters (BCFs). According to World Star Aviation, the aircraft are scheduled for delivery in the coming months.
“Partnering with World Star Aviation marks an important milestone in SolitAir’s growth journey,” said Hamdi Osman, founder and CEO of SolitAir. “These additional aircraft will significantly strengthen our operational capacity and enable us to expand our reach across critical trade routes. As we scale, our focus remains firmly on providing fast, efficient, and reliable cargo solutions that meet the evolving needs of the Global South and beyond.”
Yoram Allalouf, a partner at World Star Aviation, added, “We are proud to support SolitAir in this exciting growth phase. This agreement underscores the confidence placed in SolitAir’s vision, and we are thrilled to continue developing this partnership.”According to Planespotters.net, SolitAir currently operates three 737-800BCFs. Two are operated by ASL Airlines Ireland, while a third aircraft, leased from ASL Aviation Holdings, joined the fleet in March. Two more 737-800BCFs are expected to be delivered, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to scaling up its cargo operations across the region and beyond.
