Liege Airport has expanded its European cargo network with the launch of a new scheduled service operated by Supernova Airlines, introducing a four-times-weekly connection between Liege (LGG) and Ostrava (OSR). The route enhances capacity for time-critical shipments, e-commerce volumes, and industrial freight flows across Western, Central, and Eastern Europe—markets where demand for reliable and rapid cargo solutions continues to rise.
The new service leverages Liege Airport’s established role as a 24/7 cargo hub, reinforcing its position as a strategic gateway for operators navigating increasingly complex supply chains. By offering additional lift into Central and Eastern Europe, the airport aims to support customers that rely on consistent access to regional manufacturing clusters and distribution centres.

Supernova Airlines, which emerged during a period of heightened operational disruption in global air transport, has built its business model around resilience, flexibility, and the ability to maintain cargo continuity. The carrier continues to expand along key European corridors, focusing on routes where traditional networks face constraints or fluctuating capacity. The LGG–OSR launch demonstrates the airline’s commitment to uninterrupted operations and its growing relevance in Europe’s cargo landscape.
Frédéric Brun, Head of Commercial at Liege Airport, said the addition of Supernova Airlines strengthens the airport’s role as a critical gateway within Europe’s logistics ecosystem. “Supernova Airlines’ choice of Liege Airport reinforces our position as a key entry point to Central and Eastern Europe,” he noted. “This new connection provides seamless access to regions where air operations remain challenging, ensuring reliable solutions for customers who depend on consistent cargo flows.”
Natalia Holynskaya, Deputy CCO and Head of Sales at Supernova Airlines, described the new route as a significant step in the airline’s development. “Launching our LGG–OSR connection is an important milestone in expanding our European network,” she said. “Liege Airport offers the operational freedom, robust infrastructure, and around-the-clock cargo expertise that support our growth and our commitment to delivering high-quality air transport solutions to our customers.”
The collaboration is expected to bolster regional supply chains, enhance access to distribution hubs, and contribute to smoother trade movements across Europe. As cargo markets continue to evolve and customer expectations rise, the Liege–Ostrava service positions both partners to meet growing demand with dependable, purpose-built capacity.
