Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s largest and one of the fastest-growing airlines globally, has announced the launch of a new passenger service to Hyderabad, India, set to begin on June 16, 2025. This new route reflects the airline’s ongoing commitment to expanding its global network and fostering stronger connectivity between Africa and Asia.
The thrice-weekly service will offer passengers more convenient travel options between Addis Ababa and Hyderabad. The flight schedule is as follows:
• ET 682: Addis Ababa (ADD) to Hyderabad (HYD) – Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays
• ET 683: Hyderabad (HYD) to Addis Ababa (ADD) – Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
Mesfin Tasew, Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, expressed his excitement about the new route: “We are thrilled to start our service to Hyderabad. Since launching our first flight to Mumbai in 1971, we have continually expanded our presence across India, providing excellent passenger and cargo services. With this addition, Ethiopian Airlines will further solidify its position as a leading carrier, enhancing its footprint in India, where it already operates over fifty weekly flights to major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Chennai. The new Hyderabad service will offer more alternatives for passengers traveling between India, Africa, and beyond.
