Magma Aviation continues to demonstrate strong growth, with its global expansion reflected in new routes, an international team, and fleet enhancements across both narrow-body and wide-body aircraft.
As the last quarter of 2025 begins, the airline announced the addition of a new B747F freighter to its fleet, a move designed to support ambitious growth plans in the coming years.
“With a new B747F aircraft added to our fleet, this increases our overall capacity,” said Peter Kerins, CEO of Magma Aviation.
“It will give us the ability not only to service our current clients but also to open new routes and expand the services our customers are seeking.”
Magma Aviation has reaffirmed its long-term vision to dramatically grow its fleet over the next several years, with the new B747F forming a key part of this strategy.

B747F Freighters: Cornerstone of Specialized Cargo Operations
Despite the arrival of newer-generation freighters in the market, the B747F remains one of the most capable aircraft in air cargo, offering a payload of over 100 tons per flight. This capacity enables Magma to handle a wide range of sensitive and specialized shipments, from outsized machinery to full-size helicopters, boats, and other complex cargo.
“In the past, we have successfully transported specialized and outsized loads, and the addition of this B747F gives us a significant advantage in diversifying the products we offer,” Kerins explained.
Strategic and Controlled Fleet Expansion
Magma emphasizes that fleet growth must be carefully managed, particularly as aircraft lease rates rise.
“Magma’s operations team is the best in the business,” Kerins said.
“All standard operating procedures and service level agreements are in place. Every step of the aircraft’s introduction — from route planning and handling arrangements to ULD provisioning — has been meticulously prepared using our bespoke planning system.”
Looking ahead, Magma Aviation aims to triple its fleet by 2030, integrating a mix of wide-body aircraft, including the B777F and additional B747Fs, to meet growing demand and further strengthen its global network.
