The Munich event is attracting strong early interest, with organisers planning a dedicated air cargo exhibition and conference programme alongside transport logistic from 26 to 29 April 2027.
Air cargo Europe 2027 is gathering momentum, with more than 240 companies reportedly having confirmed their participation around six months before the international logistics trade fair opens in Munich, Germany.
Scheduled for 26–29 April 2027 at Messe München, the event will bring together airlines, airports, freight forwarders, ground handlers and logistics service providers to discuss developments in the global air freight market.
Organised as part of transport logistic, the exhibition connects the air cargo sector with the wider logistics industry, including road, rail and maritime transport, supply chain technology and intralogistics.
The early exhibitor bookings point to continued interest in the event as companies seek to strengthen commercial relationships, explore new technologies and respond to changes in international trade and freight demand.
Air cargo in focus at Munich logistics trade fair
Air cargo Europe is a specialist platform within transport logistic, which brings together businesses across logistics, mobility, information technology and supply chain management.
The combined format gives air freight companies an opportunity to meet potential customers and partners from across the transport sector, while examining how developments in digitalisation, automation and supply chain resilience are shaping cargo operations.
Organisers have highlighted the positive early booking figures as a sign of the event’s importance to the international air freight community.
Dr Robert Schönberger, global industry lead for transport logistic exhibitions, said the confirmations from established industry participants underlined the value of the event as a place to develop business contacts and engage with partners throughout the supply chain.
Major cargo carriers expected to participate
The reported list of confirmed participants includes Qatar Airways Cargo, Emirates SkyCargo, Etihad Cargo, Saudia Cargo, Delta Cargo and Cathay Cargo.
Organisers have also reported growing interest from Chinese exhibitors, reflecting China’s role in global manufacturing, cross-border e-commerce and international air freight.
Additional bookings are expected ahead of the event, including exhibitors participating through joint stands.
The exhibition layout is being adjusted to create more space for air cargo companies. According to the organisers’ announcement, the conference facilities will be relocated to neighbouring halls, allowing additional room for exhibitors.
Conference to examine AI and sustainability
The air cargo Europe conference will complement the exhibition with discussions on technologies and operational changes affecting the sector.
Under the theme “From Cargo to Code”, the programme is expected to address artificial intelligence, aviation clean technologies, automation and supply chain resilience. The conference is intended to provide a forum for industry professionals to examine how digital tools and new operating models could improve efficiency and strengthen cargo networks.
The programme will be open to visitors attending transport logistic, providing opportunities for participants to combine conference sessions with meetings and exhibition visits.
Demand backdrop supports industry engagement
The event takes place against a backdrop of continued growth in global air cargo demand. The International Air Transport Association reported that worldwide cargo tonne-kilometres increased by 4.4% year on year in August 2026, while available cargo tonne-kilometres declined by 0.1%.
That market context adds relevance to discussions on capacity, technology and operational efficiency, although the growth figures do not in themselves establish the reason for exhibitor demand.
With its international exhibitor base and links to the wider logistics industry, air cargo Europe 2027 is set to provide a forum for businesses to develop partnerships and discuss the challenges facing global air freight.
