- AIR ONE International Holdings has taken delivery of its second Boeing 777 Freighter in less than three months, marking a key milestone in the group’s fleet modernisation and expansion strategy. The 107-tonne capacity aircraft, delivered directly from Boeing’s Everett facility, will be operated by British cargo airline One Air and enter immediate service on the Hong Kong–East Midlands Airport (EMA) route.
- With this addition, AIR ONE now operates two 777Fs alongside a managed fleet of 11 Boeing 747 freighters, reinforcing its strong position on the Asia–Europe trade lane. Since launching scheduled flights between Hong Kong and the UK in September, AIR ONE has expanded its all-cargo capacity, having completed over 3,000 widebody freighter flights and delivered more than 300 million kilos of cargo.
AIR ONE International Holdings has marked a major advance in its fleet modernisation programme with the delivery of its second Boeing 777 Freighter in under three months. The new 107-tonne capacity aircraft, handed over at Boeing’s Everett facility in Washington, will be operated by British cargo carrier One Air and immediately enter commercial service on the Hong Kong–East Midlands Airport (EMA) route.
The latest addition strengthens AIR ONE’s growing presence on the Asia–Europe trade lane, where the group now deploys two Boeing 777Fs alongside a managed fleet of 11 Boeing 747 freighters. Since launching scheduled services between Hong Kong and the UK in September, AIR ONE has already operated more than 3,000 widebody freighter flights, transporting over 300 million kilos of cargo—a signal of both market demand and the group’s expanding operational footprint.
The second 777F is scheduled to arrive at East Midlands Airport on 19 November before joining One Air’s four-times-weekly Hong Kong–EMA rotation. The aircraft type continues to be viewed as a workhorse for long-haul cargo operations, offering fuel-efficient performance, a strong payload-range profile and high schedule reliability.
Peter Scholten, Chief Commercial Officer of AIR ONE International Holdings, said the milestone underscores the company’s long-term commitment to renewal and reliability.
“The Boeing 777 Freighter is an outstanding cargo aircraft. Taking delivery of a second 777F strengthens our ability to deliver consistent, high-quality services on key Asia–Europe trade lanes. It reflects our focus on operational reliability and building a modern, efficient fleet capable of meeting our customers’ growing air cargo requirements,” he noted.
Chris Hope, Chief Operating Officer at One Air, highlighted the readiness of the airline’s operational teams to support the expanded fleet. “This delivery showcases the capability of our technical and flight operations teams as we scale up. The 777F continues to prove itself as a highly reliable and efficient aircraft, ideally suited to our customers’ evolving requirements,” he added.
With a reinforced twin-engine freighter fleet, AIR ONE is positioning itself for sustained growth on one of the world’s most important trade corridors, enhancing service stability for shippers and maintaining its role as a leading provider of all-cargo capacity between Asia and Europe.
