Atlantic Gate is strengthening its regional leadership structure with the appointment of Özgür Al as CEO for Europe and the Americas and Grégoire Daudé as deputy head of Asia.

Al will be based in Geneva and Daudé in Hong Kong. The appointments are intended to support the freight forwarder’s growth across key international markets and reinforce its regional commercial and operational capabilities.

As CEO for Europe and the Americas, Al will oversee Atlantic Gate’s business across the two regions, working with local teams and group management on business performance, customer development and operational execution.

Al brings more than 25 years of experience across logistics, shipping and supply chain management. According to Atlantic Gate, he joins the company from DB Schenker Arkas Logistics in Istanbul, where he was managing director and board member. He previously held senior positions with Hamburg Süd and has experience in business development and regional operations across Europe, the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent.

Daudé will take responsibility for Atlantic Gate’s activities across Southeast Asia and India as deputy head Asia. His remit will include commercial development, regional performance and supporting the company’s expansion plans across the Asian market.

He joins from CMA CGM Hong Kong, where he most recently served as chief commercial officer. His previous experience includes leadership roles with Hermes, CEVA Logistics and DHL, spanning commercial management, business development and supply chain solutions in Europe, Africa and Asia-Pacific.

Atlantic Gate Group CEO Yuri Valazza said the appointments would strengthen the company’s relationships with customers and partners while supporting its country organisations and growth plans.

“Both bring strong industry expertise, proven leadership, and a clear customer focus,” Valazza said.

The appointments come as Atlantic Gate continues to develop its international network following the consolidation of Atlantic Forwarding and Atlantic Gate under the Atlantic Gate brand in 2025. The company, which traces its origins to Switzerland in 1979, operates across Europe, Asia, North America, Latin America, Oceania and Africa.

Atlantic Gate currently describes itself as a global freight forwarder handling around 200,000 TEUs and 1,500 tonnes of air freight annually. Its network includes offices and partners across major Asian, European and North American markets.

The leadership changes also follow Valazza’s appointment as Group CEO in June 2026. He previously led Atlantic Gate’s business in China and served as regional CEO Asia before taking responsibility for the group.

With the latest regional appointments, Atlantic Gate is seeking to strengthen management coverage in markets that form a core part of its international freight forwarding network.
