Trans Global Projects (TGP) has strengthened its global airfreight capabilities with the launch of a dedicated airfreight department in Bremen, marking a strategic expansion aimed at supporting time-critical, complex and project-driven cargo movements across Europe and beyond.
The new Bremen-based unit operates under its own IATA licence, giving TGP full operational control and regulatory compliance across its airfreight activities. The move reinforces the group’s long-term strategy to integrate engineered transport solutions with agile airfreight execution, particularly for urgent and high-value project cargo.
As part of the expansion, Tobias Teichmann has joined TGP as Head of Airfreight Germany. Teichmann brings more than a decade of experience in managing complex airfreight operations, including senior roles as Airfreight Manager at Alexander Global Logistics and nearly ten years at Kopf & Lübben, where he specialised in charter solutions and engineered transport. He is also a Certified Transport Specialist accredited by DAV, one of Germany’s leading academies for international trade and transport.
The Bremen team complements TGP’s established airfreight footprint, which includes Natco’s airfreight and air charter operations in Rümlang, Switzerland, as well as specialist capabilities in Brazil. These locations have long supported urgent, oversized and technically demanding shipments, underpinned by bespoke charter solutions and engineering-led planning.
TGP’s airfreight credentials were further underlined in October, when the company was named Airfreight Solution of the Year by Heavy Lift and Project Forwarding International (HLPFI). The award recognised the delivery of a six-ton slewing ring from Germany to China in record time. The operation required custom engineering and innovative load planning to fit the cargo into a Boeing 777 freighter, cutting transit time by more than 30 days compared with ocean transport. This same precision-led approach is expected to define operations in Bremen.
“The department in Bremen gives our clients direct access to specialised airfreight solutions with full IATA accreditation,” said Tobias Teichmann, Head of Airfreight Germany. “It’s about speed, safety and flexibility—delivered by a team that understands the complexity of project cargo.”
Andreas Menzel, Managing Director Germany and Benelux, added: “This investment reflects our commitment to Northern Europe. Bremen will serve as a hub for urgent shipments and engineered solutions, supported by Natco’s airfreight and air charter expertise and our global resources.”
From a group perspective, Colin Charnock, Group CEO of Trans Global Projects, highlighted airfreight as a core strategic pillar. “By combining technical know-how with operational agility, we ensure clients receive reliable uplift and clear communication from booking through to final delivery,” he said.
With the Bremen operation now fully active and IATA licensed under number 23475620000, TGP is well positioned to deliver reliable, compliant and highly specialised airfreight solutions for customers across Europe and worldwide. Building on proven charter expertise in Switzerland, established operations in Brazil and a growing portfolio of award-winning projects, the company continues to push boundaries in engineered airfreight logistics.
