French logistics giant Geodis has announced the appointment of Laura Ritchey as President and Chief Executive Officer of its Americas region, marking a significant leadership transition as the company aims to further strengthen its position across North and South America.
Ritchey will be responsible for overseeing the growth and operational management of Geodis’ diverse portfolio in the region, which includes contract logistics, freight forwarding, and transportation services. She will lead a workforce of nearly 20,000 employees across eight countries: the United States, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Argentina, and Brazil.
She succeeds Mike Honious, who is retiring after three decades in the supply chain industry, including 20 years with Geodis. Honious will remain with the company in an advisory role to Marie-Christine Lombard, CEO of Geodis, during the transition period, and will retain board positions with the Geodis Foundation and Geodis Compassion Fund.
Ritchey joins Geodis with over 30 years of professional experience, including 15 years in supply chain management spanning retail and third-party logistics. She began her career in finance before moving into supply chain operations with a focus on sourcing, distribution, and strategic transformation.
Most recently, she served as Chief Executive Officer of Radial, a leading provider of e-commerce fulfillment solutions. Her prior leadership roles include key positions at L Brands, FullBeauty Brands, and Centric Brands, where she helped drive supply chain modernization and customer-centric logistics strategies.
In her new role, Ritchey will also serve on the Geodis Group Executive Board, chaired by Lombard.
“With the U.S. being one of the top markets in our global network, Laura has the robust industry and leadership experience needed to continue strengthening Geodis’ position in this critical region,” said Lombard. “Her unique knowledge of the logistics industry, including deep expertise in retail and e-commerce, and business acumen, makes her the right leader to further the region’s incredible growth and help navigate in the face of today’s complex and ever-changing landscape.”
Ritchey’s appointment signals Geodis’ continued focus on digital transformation, service expansion, and customer experience enhancement in the Americas—an increasingly strategic region in the company’s global operations.
