Reinforcing Ahmedabad’s role as a key manufacturing and export hub, IndiGo, India’s preferred airline and one of the fastest growing carriers in the world, transported approximately 4,400 tonnes of cargo from the city during FY2025–26. The cargo comprised nearly 2,200 tonnes of pharmaceuticals, 1,100 tonnes of textiles, and 1,100 tonnes of valuables, including diamonds, gold and silver, reflecting the city’s diverse industrial strengths and its contribution to domestic and international trade.

For Ahmedabad’s manufacturers, exporters and businesses, air cargo is a critical enabler of commerce. From pharmaceutical shipments requiring speed and reliability to textile consignments meeting export timelines and the secure movement of premium-value items, seamless air connectivity helps businesses reach customers and markets across India and the world.

With over 740 weekly flights to and from Ahmedabad, connecting the city with 32 domestic and four international destinations, IndiGo CarGo plays an important role in enabling trade and helping regional industries remain competitive. Across Gujarat, the airline serves six airports—Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Surat, and Vadodara. Recent additions, including connectivity from Bhavnagar and Jamnagar to Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), have further strengthened regional access to commercial centres and export gateways through IndiGo’s growing network.
