Consolidated workspace brings e-commerce logistics, customs clearance and import terminal teams together to strengthen operational integration and customer service
GlobeCross, the cross-border logistics subsidiary of Lufthansa Cargo, has opened its new headquarters at Frankfurt Airport, bringing its e-commerce logistics, customs clearance and import terminal operations together at a single location.
The move marks a further step in integrating the businesses formerly operated by heyworld and CB Customs Broker, which merged in May 2026 to form GlobeCross. The new headquarters is designed to strengthen collaboration between teams, streamline decision-making and support the company’s future growth.
Located within one of Europe’s leading air cargo hubs, the facility places GlobeCross’s key business functions close to major logistics operations. The company expects the shared working environment to improve coordination and create a stronger platform for developing services for customers moving goods into and across Europe.
Integrating cross-border logistics services
As a wholly owned subsidiary of Lufthansa Cargo, GlobeCross combines digital e-commerce logistics with customs expertise and import terminal handling. Its services help businesses navigate cross-border shipping requirements, including customs clearance and the movement of goods through European supply chains.
The merger brought together heyworld’s e-commerce logistics capabilities and CB Customs Broker’s customs expertise under a single organisation. Establishing a common headquarters is intended to deepen that integration and create a more coordinated service offering for customers.
Ashwin Bhat, chief executive officer of Lufthansa Cargo, said the move reflected the GlobeCross vision and aligned with the parent company’s mission of enabling global business. He said the new workplace brings together the cultures, values and expertise of the previously separate organisations.
Nikola Todic, managing director of GlobeCross, described the headquarters as a reflection of the company’s development and its ambition to build a shared sense of purpose across the business. He said closer connections between employees would help the company advance its goal of turning borders into gateways.
Supporting growth across European markets
GlobeCross aims to help businesses manage the complexity of international trade by combining logistics coordination, digital processes and customs services. Bringing its teams together is expected to support more efficient internal workflows and provide a stronger foundation for innovation and customer service.
The company is headquartered at Frankfurt Airport and also maintains offices in the Netherlands and China, supporting its international reach and engagement with customers and partners across key trading markets.
The opening represents an organisational milestone following the May merger and reinforces Lufthansa Cargo’s strategy of expanding beyond traditional airport-to-airport freight services into integrated cross-border logistics solutions.
By combining e-commerce logistics, customs clearance and import terminal handling within one business, GlobeCross aims to offer customers a more connected approach to moving goods across borders while supporting Lufthansa Cargo’s broader logistics portfolio.
