Elite Global Logistics Network (EGLN) merged with WCA in October of 2017 and WCA director of North America – Matthew West – has now been appointed as EGLN’s managing director (MD). EGLN and WCA said the merger gives its members access to top-tier member benefits and providing WCA members with even more global partnering options.

EGLN president and founder, Roy Stapleton said appointing West as MD was a “no-brainer”. He added: “His longstanding experience as a WCA network leader is exactly what we need to expand the group and integrate into WCA’s existing model.” West is an experienced director with more than six years of global logistics experience through leadership at WCA. “What makes Matthew so valuable is his diversity of skills,” said Stapleton. “He has sales experience, is great with the members and knows his way around WCA’s robust database.”

West will work closely with Stapleton to provide member support to EGLN, WCA’s newest affiliate network. Together they will work to grow the independent freight forwarders network while expanding the logistics might of the entire WCA group.
