Uzbekistan-based cargo airline My Freighter has announced that it has received an ACC3 securitydesignation from the UK Departmentfor Transport, marking a further step in its international expansionstrategy and opening the way for compliant air cargo operations intothe United Kingdom.
The Tashkent-based carrier announced the designation in a LinkedIn post on 16 October 2026,describing the approval as an importantmilestone in strengthening trade and airfreight links betweenCentral Asia, Asia and the UK.
The designation confirms that the airline has met the applicable aviation security requirements forthe cargo operations covered by theapproval. Under the UK’s aviation security framework, qualifyingcarriers operating cargo services into the country from designated third-country airports musthold the relevant security designation unless an exemption applies.
For freight forwarders and shippers, the development could provide additional airfreight optionsconnecting Uzbekistan and the widerregion with the UK, subject to the carrier’s operating scheduleand the scope of its designation.
UK Flights Expected to Follow
My Freighter said UK-bound flights would begin soon, with schedules to be announced separately. The new service is expected to providean additional cargo connection from Tashkent for shippersand freight forwarders in Uzbekistan and neighbouring markets. No launchdate, UK destinationairport or initial flight frequency has yet been confirmed in the announcement.
The carrier has been expanding its freighter capacity alongside its network development. In a separateannouncement, My Freighter confirmedthe addition of a Boeing 767-300F, highlighting its abilityto carry up to 55 tonnes on intercontinental routes and improve connectivitybetween Asian andEuropean markets through Tashkent. The airline’s corporate profile lists a fleet of 10 cargo aircraft.
The Boeing 767 freighter is central to the carrier’s medium- to long-haul cargo operations, offeringflexibility for general freight and internationalshipments. The expansion of capacity, combined withthe new UK security designation, supports My Freighter’s ambition to strengthenits position inthe Asia–Europe air cargo market.
What the Approval Means
The UK Department for Transport’s official guidance explains that the ACC3 framework is intended toensure that cargo arriving from relevantoverseas airports is subject to appropriate aviation securitycontrols. The designation relates to cargo security compliance; it should notbe confused with astandalone operating licence or confirmation that scheduled UK flights have already commenced.
Verification note: My Freighter’s official LinkedIn account confirms the announcement of its UKsecurity designation and says flight scheduleswill follow. The UK government’s published guidanceconfirms the regulatory framework, but a separate public government record namingMy Freighter’sspecific designation was not located during this check. The approval is therefore attributed to theairline’s announcementrather than presented as independently verified through a carrier-specificgovernment listing.
