Oman Air Cargo Generates $58 Million in Revenue

Oman Air Cargo has unveiled an impressive achievement, reporting a substantial 42% surge in cargo volume during the first half of the year.

This remarkable feat has been primarily propelled by the expansion of its operational capacity.

The airline’s cargo revenue has soared to an impressive OMR22.3 million ($58 million), which not only underscores its financial strength but also highlights its operational tenacity in the face of challenges.

Despite experiencing a slight dip in yield compared to the previous year, these results underscore the carrier’s sustained growth trajectory.

Oman Air Cargo attributes its steadfast position in the market to its robust technological integration, operational efficiency, and unswerving commitment to impeccable customer service, as outlined in a press release by the airline.

Since its establishment in 2009, Oman Air Cargo has consistently demonstrated an upward trajectory.

This momentum has been further fortified by its attainment of coveted certifications, including the IATA CEIV Pharma and CEIV Fresh certifications in 2021.

This has enabled the airline to venture into specialized and controlled shipments, ensuring the safe and reliable transport of time- and temperature-sensitive cargo.

In the preceding year, Oman Air Cargo expanded its horizons by introducing innovative services like ‘Cargo-in-Cabin’ to a plethora of new destinations across Europe, the Far East, and the Indian Subcontinent.

As the calendar flipped to 2023, the airline continued to chart a strategic course by announcing the launch of its inaugural freighter service, a response to the burgeoning demand. This foresight is further complemented by a concerted effort in digitalization.

Oman Air Cargo’s ongoing initiative to enhance the customer experience includes the development of a new Revenue Management System and the establishment of user-friendly online booking channels.
