Unisys has announced the addition of Qatar Airways Cargo to its Cargo Portal Services (CPS) platform, offering freight forwarders immediate access to the airline’s cargo capacity and simplifying the process of searching and booking shipments on Qatar Airways Cargo’s routes.
With over 33,000 freight forwarders, the Unisys CPS platform serves as a global hub for air cargo carriers to sell capacity, allowing forwarders to efficiently price, book, and track shipments. This integration with Qatar Airways Cargo enhances the platform’s ability to streamline operations for both carriers and freight forwarders.
Chris Arrasmith, Senior Vice President of Enterprise Computing Solutions at Unisys, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We are excited to welcome Qatar Airways Cargo to our CPS platform and continue our mission to transform the global logistics ecosystem with smart, user-centric digital solutions. Through the platform, we provide airlines with seamless, data-driven tools to improve efficiency and maximize potential revenue.”
He added, “As our platform continues expanding, we remain committed to ushering in the next era of innovation in this sector with cutting-edge solutions.”
Key benefits for CPS users include increased visibility into available capacity, 24/7 access to data and booking capabilities, and expanded route options through real-time access to Qatar Airways Cargo flights. These enhancements aim to optimize cargo utilization, reduce manual processes, and improve operational decision-making.
Mark Drusch, Chief Officer Cargo at Qatar Airways Cargo, emphasized the value of the partnership, saying, “As the world’s leading cargo carrier, our goal is to offer our customers innovative solutions to book cargo online in a seamless and efficient manner. By adding the Unisys CPS platform to our omnichannel offering, we are providing more options for customers to book their air freight across our extensive network of more than 60 freighter and 170 passenger destinations.”
