This marks one of the inaugural major projects from Joloda’s newly established Air Cargo Equipment division, which debuted in 2024.
Schiphol Express offers a wide range of logistics services,including cargo management,temporary storage for Unit Load Devices (ULDs),sorting,and transportation tailored for freight forwarders and airlines.
The company operates from both Schiphol and Eindhoven Airports, overseeing everything from the initial loading and unloading in warehouses to delivering goods throughout the Netherlands.

The existing equipment at Schiphol Express was outdated. The manual process of unloading air cargo—like ULDs or PMC pallets—was not only labor-intensive but also time-consuming. This led to prolonged turnaround times for trailers along with elevated staffing expenses.

The team at Joloda Hydraroll crafted an integrated setup featuring a 20-foot truck dock alongside two 10-foot powered roller bed positions. This arrangement allows Schiphol Express to efficiently prepare or unload an entire truckload (equivalent to four 10-foot positions).
- The Truck Dock
This advanced truck dock boasts hydraulic adjustments that ensure precise alignment with incoming trucks. Its design accommodates simultaneous unloading of either two 10-foot PMC pallets or one larger 20-foot pallet. Once pallets reach the end of this dock,operators can lower it hydraulically so it aligns perfectly with the powered roller bed system.
A winch is included in this setup as well; it helps tow any stuck air cargo from trailers—even those equipped with pneumatic roller tracks or modular systems—ensuring smooth operations across all types of freight trailers that meet minimum standards by having rollerbeds installed as standard equipment.
Additionally, there’s an automatic trailer detection feature built into the dock that recognizes when a trailer is properly aligned for receiving freight—a critically important boost in both safety and efficiency!

This component consists of two interconnected 10-foot rollerbeds working seamlessly with the truck dock. Once aligned correctly, motorized rollers push air cargo deeper into storage without requiring manual intervention—speeding up workflow considerably!
