The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) has officially signed the Aviation 4 All declaration, a global initiative developed by the International Aviation Forum (IAF) to drive sustainable growth and prosperity across the aviation sector.
The declaration, which has garnered the support of over 40 organizations to date, outlines a series of ambitious goals for the aviation industry. These include delivering on environmental commitments for a “net zero” industry, fostering diversity and inclusivity in the workplace, and improving global connectivity to enhance accessibility. Additionally, the declaration calls for closer collaboration with governments to strengthen safety and security measures, as well as integrating seamless technology-based solutions throughout the value chain to improve the customer and shipper experience.
Other key objectives include cultivating a customer-centric culture, enhancing operational performance, driving financial efficiencies, and amplifying the positive societal impact of commercial aviation.
“We are thrilled to support the Aviation 4 All vision, which underscores the global aviation community’s recognition of TIACA’s ongoing efforts to advance the air cargo industry,” said Glyn Hughes, TIACA’s Director General. “The goals outlined in the declaration align closely with our own priorities for sustainable industry growth and development.”
In addition to its involvement with the Aviation 4 All initiative, TIACA has also signed two joint declarations submitted to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in celebration of the 80th anniversary of commercial aviation. The declarations, endorsed by numerous aviation organizations, commemorate the strength of the Chicago Convention, which was signed 80 years ago and laid the foundation for modern international air transport.
TIACA’s participation in these initiatives highlights its continued commitment to advancing both the air cargo sector and the broader aviation industry, ensuring its future sustainability and success.
