MSC Air Cargo has forged a partnership with WebCargo by Freightos, intending to integrate its airfreight capacity into the digital firm’s booking platform. This collaboration was disclosed in a LinkedIn post by the carrier, indicating its aim to provide enhanced visibility to forwarders and expand capacity booking options.
“Through this partnership, we’ll be able to provide more visibility into our rates and contact information, and soon, we’ll be able to share our capacity and booking functions on the platform,” said MSC Air Cargo.
WebCargo boasts a substantial network, having secured partnerships with over 50 airlines. Notably, the platform facilitated one million digital bookings last year.
In recent developments, MSC Air Cargo has received its fifth freighter, which will be operated by its subsidiary, AlisCargo Airlines.
Having commenced operations in December 2022, MSC Air Cargo has chosen Liège Airport as its principal European hub.
Furthermore, the completion of the delivery of four new Boeing 777 freighters to Atlas Air earlier this year marks another milestone. These aircraft are being operated under an ACMI agreement with MSC Air Cargo.
