DHL Global Forwarding has been recertified with IATA’s CEIV Pharma standard for excellence in life sciences and healthcare transportation.
The certification recognises DHL Global Forwarding’s expertise in meeting quality standards and regulatory requirements for safe and compliant air handling of high-value, time-sensitive, and temperature-controlled pharmaceutical products.

Since 2016, DHL has certified its global stations to the IATA CEIV Pharma standard. Through independent audits and on-site training, DHL has obtained quality seals for its 33 strategic stations handling life sciences and healthcare airfreight worldwide.
At DHL Global Forwarding, dedicated Certified Life Sciences Specialist (CLSS) training is provided to all employees involved in life sciences and healthcare shipments. This mandatory training ensures that sensitive shipments at all 111 DHL Air GxP stations worldwide are handled in accordance with the highest industry standards.
DHL’s cloud-based IT platform, LifeTrack, provides customers with transparent tracking and proactive monitoring of their shipments. IATA verifies compliance with temperature control regulations and GDP guidelines at all locations to ensure the highest quality standards.
DHL provides a wide range of products for time-sensitive and temperature-controlled air freight shipments at its Air GxP facilities. Its specialized services encompass the door-to-door “Life Sciences graded Specialty Courier” solution, the guaranteed-delivery “Medical Express” service, and “DHL Clinical Trial Logistics,” which is a logistics solution for clinical trials that includes the transport of trial medications, supplies, and laboratory kits.
