Swissport has announced a new air cargo ground handling partnership with Dominican Republic-based SKYhigh Airlines at Miami International Airport, marking the beginning of the handler’s operations in 2025.

The Zürich-based ground services provider shared the news on LinkedIn on January 3, highlighting the success of their swift startup. “With just 24 hours’ notice, our incredible team pulled off a successful startup during the busiest time of the year, moving 37 tons of cargo on our very first day,” Swissport wrote.

SKYhigh Airlines, which operates a fleet of 20 freighters per week, has not yet clarified how many of these flights will land at Miami International, nor how many of the airline’s aircraft Swissport will be handling. Air Cargo News has requested additional details from Swissport regarding the specifics of the arrangement.
