FedEx Corporation has announced the appointment of Kawal Preet as Executive Vice President (EVP), Planning, Engineering, and Transformation, effective October 1, 2025. Preet, who previously served as Regional President for Asia Pacific (APAC), will now join the FedEx Executive Committee and report directly to Raj Subramaniam, President and CEO of FedEx Corporation.
A Strategic Leader with Deep Operational Expertise
In her new role, Preet will lead the company’s Transformation Office, overseeing the DRIVE framework and initiatives—a cornerstone of FedEx’s ongoing transformation program. DRIVE focuses on improving operational efficiency, network integration, and digital innovation across all business units to strengthen service delivery and long-term value creation.
Preet will also head FedEx’s global centralized planning and engineering function, responsible for integrating the company’s vast global air and ground networks. This effort aims to create a more unified, data-driven, and agile logistics infrastructure to support FedEx’s strategic vision for a global, connected network.
Proven Leadership Across Asia Pacific
Preet brings nearly three decades of experience at FedEx, with a career spanning leadership roles in operations, planning, and engineering. As Regional President for Asia Pacific since 2020, she guided the company through one of the most dynamic and challenging periods in modern logistics — including the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent shifts in global trade and supply chain structures.
Under her leadership, FedEx APAC strengthened its market presence, optimized cross-border capabilities, and enhanced customer experience through digital transformation and operational resilience. Preet was instrumental in advancing the company’s sustainability goals and expanding its footprint in emerging markets.
Driving FedEx’s Transformation Agenda
Announcing the appointment, Raj Subramaniam, President and CEO of FedEx Corporation, said:
“With her institutional knowledge and industry expertise, Kawal’s leadership in this new role will enable a holistic approach to our DRIVE transformation efforts that are creating long-term value for our customers, team members, and stockholders.
Her collaborative, thoughtful approach and commitment to excellence will further our progress toward a global integrated network as she leads a centralized planning and engineering team.”
Shaping the Future of Global Logistics
Preet’s appointment underscores FedEx’s focus on leadership continuity and strategic transformation as it continues to evolve into a more flexible, technology-enabled, and customer-centric organization.
Her promotion also reflects FedEx’s commitment to empowering leaders with deep operational insight and cross-regional experience to drive innovation and efficiency across its global network.
With Preet at the helm of Planning, Engineering, and Transformation, FedEx is poised to accelerate its long-term strategy of integrating its air, ground, and digital operations into a single, optimized network — a critical step in reshaping the logistics giant for the next era of global trade.
