Hermes Logistics Technologies (HLT) has promoted Upneesh Gill to Head of Product and Service Delivery, recognising her experience in air cargo operations, customer relations and technology implementation.

Gill has worked with HLT for nearly 15 years, building on earlier experience as a user of the company’s cargo management system while working at Menzies, where she managed cargo operations and customer satisfaction. Her background gives her direct insight into the operational requirements of cargo handlers and the technology needed to support their work.

Since joining HLT, Gill has held roles in customer relations and service delivery, developing relationships with customers and supporting service delivery across the business.

HLT chief executive Yuval Baruch said Gill’s combination of operational experience and long-standing customer relationships would be valuable as the company continues to develop its technology and services.

“Her knowledge, experience and relationships make her an important part of our continued evolution as we enter this new chapter for Hermes,” Baruch said.

Gill said her experience on both sides of the customer relationship had given her a perspective on how air cargo operations and technology have evolved. She added that she looked forward to helping shape the company’s products and services in her new role.

The promotion comes as HLT advances its next-generation Hermes ecosystem, including hermesONE, which brings together operational systems, intelligence, mobile capabilities and artificial intelligence to support more connected cargo operations.
