American Airlines Cargo has appointed Danny Robbeson as Director, Head of Cargo Global Accounts, strengthening its commercial leadership team as the carrier continues to develop relationships with strategic customers worldwide.

Robbeson will lead the airline’s Global Accounts sales team and oversee its relationships with key strategic customers across international markets. He will be based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and report to Indy Bolina, Head of Global Sales at American Airlines Cargo.
Focus on Strategic Customer Growth
In his new role, Robbeson will be responsible for developing global account strategies, strengthening customer engagement and supporting commercial growth across American Airlines Cargo’s portfolio of strategic partners.
The carrier said Robbeson brings extensive experience spanning both the airline and freight forwarding sectors, together with a track record in leadership and team development. American Airlines Cargo said his industry perspective and customer-focused approach will support its efforts to deliver innovative solutions and services to customers globally.
Robbeson said he was pleased to take on the new position and highlighted the opportunity to further develop American Airlines Cargo’s products and services in support of its customers.
“I am delighted to be taking on this new role with American and believe the cargo services and solutions at this airline are second to none,” Robbeson said. “The opportunity to help drive forward our full range of products and services in support of our customers is one that I am truly excited about.”
Amsterdam-Based Commercial Role
The Amsterdam appointment gives Robbeson responsibility for a global customer portfolio from a key European aviation and logistics market. His remit will include strengthening strategic partnerships while supporting the airline’s wider commercial objectives.
Bolina welcomed Robbeson to the commercial leadership team, pointing to his industry experience, customer-focused approach and leadership capabilities.
“His deep industry experience, customer-first mindset and proven leadership capabilities will help us continue delivering on our promise to customers,” Bolina said. He added that Robbeson would play an important role in strengthening strategic partnerships and advancing the airline’s commercial objectives.
Supporting American’s Global Cargo Network
The appointment comes as American Airlines Cargo continues to serve major markets across the United States, Europe, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Latin America and Asia.
The carrier offers a range of cargo products and specialised handling capabilities covering shipments including pharmaceuticals, perishables and e-commerce. Its cargo operation makes use of the airline’s extensive passenger network, providing freight connectivity between major international markets.
Robbeson’s appointment places global account development and strategic customer engagement at the centre of his new remit, with the airline looking to strengthen commercial relationships and expand the use of its cargo products and services across its international customer base.
