Adani airports handle over one million tonnes cargo in FY2024

Adani Airport Holdings (AAHL) handled one million tonnes of air cargo in the financial year 2023-2024 (April 2023 to March 2024), an increase of seven percent from last year. “AAHL facilitated 1,013,115 tonnes of cargo in FY2023-24, capturing 30.1 percent market share.”

Over 65 percent of the cargo managed by AAHL was international, the release added. “The international cargo tonnage amounted to 662,258 tonnes, an increase of nine percent compared to previous fiscal’s 606,348 tonnes.”

The cargo operations were driven by automobiles, pharmaceuticals, perishables, electricals/electronics, and engineering goods. “They were efficiently handled across the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (Mumbai), the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (Ahmedabad), the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (Lucknow), the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, the Mangaluru International Airport, the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (Guwahati) and the Jaipur International Airport.”
