Partnership brings capacity from 20 airlines across 14 countries onto CargoBooking platform, strengthening digital access for freight forwarders and airline partners
Shanghai, China: Awery Aviation Software (Awery), a leading provider of digital solutions for the global air cargo industry, has announced that Oriental Sky Aviation has joined its CargoBooking platform, becoming the first Chinese General Sales and Service Agent (GSSA) to make its airline capacity available through the digital booking marketplace.
The agreement, unveiled during Air Cargo China 2026 in Shanghai, marks another milestone in Awery’s strategy to accelerate digitalisation across the global air cargo sector while expanding CargoBooking’s international airline and GSSA network. The partnership has been confirmed through official announcements issued by both companies.
Under the agreement, Oriental Sky Aviation’s extensive airline portfolio—which includes cargo capacity from 20 airline partners operating across 14 countries through 21 office locations—will now be accessible to freight forwarders via CargoBooking, providing a streamlined digital environment for obtaining quotations, making bookings and managing shipments.
Strengthening a long-standing technology partnership
The latest collaboration builds on an established relationship between the two companies that began in 2022, when Oriental Sky Aviation adopted Awery’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform to manage both its General Sales and Service Agent (GSSA) activities and charter operations.
The successful implementation of Awery’s ERP system laid the foundation for deeper integration, enabling Oriental Sky to extend its digital capabilities by joining CargoBooking and offering customers direct online access to its airline inventory.
The move reflects a broader trend across the air cargo industry, where airlines, GSSAs and freight forwarders are increasingly adopting digital booking platforms to simplify cargo sales, improve operational efficiency and enhance customer experience.
Expanding digital access to airline capacity
Through CargoBooking, freight forwarders will be able to access Oriental Sky Aviation’s airline capacity via a single digital interface, eliminating many of the traditional manual processes associated with cargo reservations.
The platform enables users to:
- Obtain real-time freight quotations
- Book cargo space digitally
- Manage shipments through an integrated online interface
- Access multiple airline services from a single platform
By centralising these functions, the system is designed to improve booking speed, enhance operational transparency and support more efficient cargo capacity management for both airlines and logistics providers.
Milestone for CargoBooking in China
Commenting on the agreement, Vitaly Smilianets, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Awery, described Oriental Sky’s participation as an important milestone in CargoBooking’s global expansion.
“We are looking forward to expanding our relationship with Oriental Sky by bringing its capacity to CargoBooking, following the successful implementation of our ERP platform across its business.”
He noted that China’s rapidly evolving digital ecosystem makes it an important market for cargo technology innovation.
“China is one of the world’s most digitally advanced air cargo markets, and Oriental Sky’s decision to join the platform reflects the strength and competitiveness of the technology we continue to develop for the industry.”
Smilianets added that welcoming the platform’s first Chinese GSSA represents a significant achievement for CargoBooking.
“Welcoming our first Chinese GSSA onto CargoBooking is an important milestone, and we are particularly pleased to announce this partnership here in Shanghai.”
Supporting global airline partners
Oriental Sky Aviation has established itself as one of China’s leading cargo service providers, offering a comprehensive portfolio that includes:
- General Sales and Service Agent (GSSA) representation
- Total cargo management
- Charter operations
- Interline cargo services
- Value-added logistics solutions
The company supports airline partners across an extensive international network, helping carriers strengthen cargo sales and operational performance throughout Asia and other global markets.
By integrating with CargoBooking, Oriental Sky aims to make its airline network more accessible while simplifying booking procedures for freight forwarders worldwide.
Digitalisation remains a strategic priority
Rush Wang, Founder and President of Oriental Sky Aviation, said digital transformation continues to be central to the company’s long-term growth strategy.
“Digitalisation remains a key priority across all areas of our business as we continue to enhance the services we provide to airline partners and customers.”
Having worked with Awery’s technology for several years, Wang said the company had experienced tangible operational benefits from the ERP platform.
“Having worked with Awery for a number of years, we have seen first-hand the benefits that its technology can bring to our operations.”
He added that joining CargoBooking represented a logical progression in Oriental Sky’s digital journey.
“Joining CargoBooking was therefore a natural next step, enabling us to further improve accessibility to our network while supporting greater efficiency for our customers.”
Accelerating digital transformation across air cargo
The partnership reflects the continuing digital transformation of the air cargo industry, where traditional manual booking processes are increasingly being replaced by automated, cloud-based and API-driven platforms that provide greater visibility, faster response times and improved operational efficiency.
As freight forwarders seek instant access to airline capacity and more transparent pricing, digital marketplaces such as CargoBooking are becoming an increasingly important component of global cargo distribution strategies.
For Awery, adding its first Chinese GSSA significantly expands the platform’s geographic reach and strengthens its presence in one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing air cargo markets. For Oriental Sky Aviation, the integration enhances customer accessibility while reinforcing its commitment to digital innovation and operational excellence.
Both companies showcased the new partnership during transport logistic China 2026 in Shanghai, highlighting the industry’s continued focus on technology-driven collaboration, digital connectivity and smarter cargo distribution solutions that support increasingly complex global supply chains.
