Logistics provider cargo-partner is operating weekly charter flights throughout June from China and Hong Kong to Frankfurt, Vienna, Amsterdam, and Budapest.
In addition to its regular charter services, cargo-partner has carried out requests for full and part-charter flights to transport urgent cargo such as pharmaceutical, healthcare and personal protective equipment (PPE).
For example, recently the company handled three charters from China carrying 13m K95 masks for miners and health workers in Africa.
To meet the urgent demand for these goods and to make the best use of time during the shipment’s transportation, the cargo-partner team in Shanghai organised the ULD loading, which took six hours, to take place overnight.
In April cargo-partner’s Sweden team chartered three MD11 freighter aircraft to transport nearly 200 tonnes of temperature-sensitive and non-stackable cargo from Stockholm Arlanda to Chicago O’Hare Airport.
Cargo-partner said that despite the short time frame for the shipment, which coincided with the Easter holidays, the charters were was executed just in time to meet the customer’s needs.
Also in April, cargo-partner worked with one of its partners in Africa to deliver several airfreight charter solutions to customers in African countries such as South Africa.
The charters, which operated from Shanghai to Johannesburg, were carried out with Boeing 777 freighters. Cargo included urgent medical equipment and PPE. The goods were then distributed by truck from Johannesburg Airport to the final destinations in Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Botswana and Namibia.
