Airfreight container firm DoKaSch Temperature Solutions has appointed James Savio as a business development manager in India as it looks to capitalise on a growing pharma industry in the country.
The company said it had made the appointment as pharma and biotech companies are driving changes at airports where pharmaceuticals are handled.
“I want to expand the market presence of DoKaSch Temperature Solutions across the pharmaceutical’s main markets in India,” said Savio.
“The companies are looking for reliable temperature solution partners such as DoKaSch Temperature Solutions.”
DoKaSch said that airports like Bangalore, Mumbai and Hyderabad International Airport are expanding their infrastructure, adding that since 2021 it has operated a service station at Hyderabad International Airport.
The container firm pointed out that the Indian pharmaceutical industry worldwide ranks third in pharmaceutical production by volume, according to the Indian government.
Savio’s last role was with InterGlobe Air Transport, the general sales agency for Etihad Airways Cargo, as regional manager south.
He has also worked for Allied Aviation Private where he was responsible for Bangalore as regional manager and has worked as manager of sales and services for Aviation Travels Private, the general sales agency of Singapore Airlines Cargo. He is also trained in Quality Management for Pharmaceuticals.
