Agreement extends cargo representation to France, Spain and Portugal, reinforcing Riyadh Cargo’s European expansion strategy
FlyUs Aviation Group has strengthened its partnership with Riyadh Cargo following its appointment as the airline’s General Sales and Service Agent (GSSA) for France, Spain and Portugal. The latest agreement builds on FlyUs’ successful representation of Riyadh Cargo in the United Kingdom and Ireland, a partnership established in October 2025 following the launch of Riyadh Air’s inaugural services to London Heathrow.
The expanded mandate marks another important step in Riyadh Cargo’s European growth strategy and follows the introduction of a dedicated Riyadh-branded road feeder service linking the Benelux region with the carrier’s global cargo network via London Heathrow Airport. The trucking solution enhances cargo connectivity and provides freight forwarders with improved access to Riyadh Cargo’s expanding international network.
Under the new agreement, FlyUs will oversee cargo sales, customer support and capacity management across the three Southern European markets, providing local commercial representation while strengthening relationships with freight forwarders and logistics partners.
Carlo de Haas, President and Chief Executive Officer of FlyUs Aviation Group, said the expanded appointment reflects the confidence Riyadh Cargo has placed in the partnership.
“Being entrusted with additional markets is a strong endorsement of the partnership we have built with Riyadh Cargo since its launch. Our local teams have extensive knowledge of their respective markets and long-established relationships with freight forwarders across France, Spain and Portugal. We look forward to providing dedicated, on-the-ground sales representation while ensuring customers have direct access to Riyadh Cargo’s growing network and capacity,” he said.
For Riyadh Cargo, the expanded partnership supports its long-term strategy of building a stronger cargo presence across Europe while contributing to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to position the Kingdom as a leading global logistics and air cargo hub.
Pravin Singh, Global Head of Cargo at Riyadh Air, said FlyUs had consistently demonstrated a strong understanding of the airline’s business objectives and customer requirements.
“FlyUs has been part of our cargo journey in Europe since October 2025 and has consistently demonstrated a strong understanding of our business, customers and growth ambitions. Their expertise and commitment to service excellence have made them a valued partner, and we are pleased to expand our collaboration into France, Spain and Portugal as we continue to extend our global reach,” Singh said.
The agreement also highlights the growing role of specialised GSSA partners in supporting airline cargo expansion. With established local sales teams, market intelligence and close relationships with freight forwarders, GSSAs enable airlines to strengthen market penetration without establishing their own commercial infrastructure in every country.
Founded in 2004, FlyUs Aviation Group has grown into one of the world’s leading independent GSSA providers, representing more than 30 airline partners across 30 countries while offering cargo sales, trucking, digital cargo solutions and total cargo management services.
As Riyadh Cargo continues to expand its international network, the strengthened partnership with FlyUs is expected to enhance cargo accessibility across key European markets, improve customer service and support increasing trade flows between Europe, Saudi Arabia and destinations across the carrier’s global network.
