Global transport and logistics provider Gebrüder Weiss has announced the opening of a new facility in Phoenix, Arizona, marking another step in its growing presence across the United States. The Phoenix location will offer comprehensive air and sea freight services, including customs clearance and both partial and full-load land transport solutions.
This expansion comes as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to meet the increasing demand for trade between the U.S. and Mexico. Arizona plays a vital role in cross-border trade, with Phoenix emerging as a key logistics hub for shipments moving across the southern U.S. border. In 2023 alone, nearly $20 billion worth of cargo was transported between Arizona and Mexico, highlighting the region’s significance.
“Establishing our presence in Phoenix is an important milestone for Gebrüder Weiss,” said Mark McCullough, Country Manager for Gebrüder Weiss North America. “This new facility strengthens our position in a thriving economic region and allows us to offer our customers more flexible transport options and reliable supply chain solutions.”
Gebrüder Weiss has steadily expanded its footprint in North America over the past few years, now operating a network of 17 locations across the continent. Alongside the new Phoenix facility, the company recently opened a logistics terminal in Elgin, Illinois, and launched new branches in Miami, Denver, and Dallas. Additionally, the acquisition of Salt Lake City-based freight forwarder Cargo-Link in 2024 further reinforced its North American operations.
As cross-border trade continues to grow, Gebrüder Weiss remains committed to enhancing its logistics services and providing seamless transport solutions for its customers across the U.S., Mexico, and beyond.
