Hagen Hennig has been named President of dteq Transport Engineering Solutions, effective February 1, 2026, taking the helm of the company’s global engineering operations and reinforcing its position as a leader in complex heavy cargo and project logistics.
Hennig, who joined dteq in 2017 as Port Captain and was promoted to Technical Director in 2022, brings over 17 years of expertise in transport engineering and project logistics. He is a certified Master Mariner and Port Captain, holding a diploma in maritime transport and an M.Sc. in maritime management, with extensive hands-on experience overseeing and personally accompanying complex shipments worldwide.
In his new role, Hennig will lead dteq’s international engineering teams, focusing on integrated technical solutions for heavy and oversized cargo, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule. His appointment comes at a time when global project cargo demands are becoming increasingly intricate, requiring engineering input from the earliest planning stages.
“It is remarkable to see how transport engineering has evolved,” said Hennig. “Innovative thinking, attention to detail, and an uncompromising focus on safety are now central to delivering heavy cargo projects successfully. As client requirements grow more complex, dteq is uniquely positioned to provide solutions from concept to execution, thanks to our highly experienced and dedicated engineering teams worldwide.”
Hennig’s leadership is expected to strengthen dteq’s ability to support large-scale industrial projects, infrastructure developments, and specialty cargo operations, further cementing the company’s reputation as a trusted partner in international transport engineering and project logistics.
