The UK, Ireland, and Northern Europe’s premier freight, transport, logistics, and supply chain management event will take place 22nd-24th June 2021

The organisers of Multimodal have announced new dates for next year’s 14th show, which will now run from the 22nd to the 24th of June 2021 at the NEC Birmingham.

The decision to move the show to new dates was taken as a result of directions provided by both Public Health England and the UK Government, and the Multimodal Team will continue to closely monitor the latest advice with regard to COVID-19 to ensure the health and welfare of all those involved in the event.

“After 14 years, Multimodal has become an important event in the calendars of people on all sides of the supply chain, providing the information, inspiration and contacts that they rely on,” said Robert Jervis, Logistics Portfolio Director, Clarion Events.

“Whilst we are disappointed to make this decision, we have to place the safety of our customers, attendees, staff, and suppliers at the forefront of our thinking, bearing in mind both governmental directions and general public health advice.

“Having canvassed the opinions of a large sample of visitors and exhibitors, it was clear that the pragmatic approach is to postpone the event in 2021.”

The Multimodal Team will be in touch directly with exhibitors, sponsors, and visitors over the coming days and weeks  to facilitate a smooth transition to the new dates for everyone involved.

Multimodal has launched a series of monthly webinars in line with its focus on keeping industry connected and up-to-date with latest developments, especially during the current rapidly developing business landscape.

Multimodal Connect Webinars are free-to-attend and can be joined at multimodal.org.uk/webinars.

The next webinar, on December 10th at 14.00, is called Ports – enabling the supply chain of the future – unlocking value, improving sustainability, and increasing resilience.

The panel, moderated by Frank Robotham, Ports Advisor, will include John Williams, Executive Chairman, Maritime Transport, John Smith, Managing Director, GBRf, Stephen Carr, Group Commercial Director, Peel Ports, Gary Jeffreys, CEO, CMA CGM (UK), and Jerry Hopkinson, Chief Operating Officer and Vice Chairman, PD Ports.

Multimodal 2021 will include a series of seminar sessions, as well as a new dedicated freight forwarder’s village and the Multimodal Awards.
