Nippon Express has already been using WebCargo by Freightos for thousands of monthly air bookings. Now, the company is scaling up with Freightos’ multimodal SaaS solution to digitize both air and ocean pricing, quoting, and booking across hundreds of its offices in 57 countries.
The advantages:
- Faster, sharper air freight quotes powered by digital workflows;
- API integrations with Nippon Express’ systems for greater efficiency;
- Access to Freightos Terminal market intelligence, strengthening pricing and routing decisions in volatile markets.
Freightos Limited, the leading vendor-neutral global freight booking and payment platform, has announced that top-five global freight forwarder Nippon Express (NX Group) has selected Freightos’ multimodal freight pricing and booking Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution to power its operations across most of its global network, spanning hundreds of offices in 57 countries.
Nippon Express has deployed Freightos to digitize air pricing, quoting, and booking, building on its existing use of WebCargo by Freightos for thousands of monthly air bookings. Having successfully digitized air, Nippon is now expanding to multimodal, leveraging Freightos’ platform—which handles over 1.5 million bookings annually—for faster, more efficient quoting and booking across multiple transport modes.
In today’s volatile logistics market, service providers must rapidly adapt to shifting trade patterns, capacity constraints, and evolving customer expectations. The Freightos solutions will strengthen Nippon Express’ ability to navigate these fluctuations with agility and deliver quicker, sharper price quotes for both air and ocean customers.
The deployment will include API integrations with Nippon Express’ internal systems. The solution suite also includes Freightos Terminal, a leading freight market intelligence tool for air and ocean, equipping Nippon Express with data insights to optimize routing and pricing in volatile markets.
“This strategic digital expansion represents a fundamental shift in how we manage freight across transport modes,” said Ionut Mares, Global Head of Air and Ocean Freight at Nippon Express. “By implementing Freightos’ comprehensive solution across our global operations, we’re not just digitizing processes – we’re reimagining the future of freight management to deliver unprecedented value and efficiency to our customers worldwide.”
“The logistics industry is at a pivotal moment where true multimodal digital capabilities are no longer optional but essential,” said Zvi Schreiber, CEO at Freightos. “Nippon Express’ adoption of Freightos technology demonstrates how leading logistics providers are embracing end-to-end digital solutions that span the entire freight journey. By connecting Nippon Express’s extensive global network to our digital ecosystem, we’re helping them deliver true agility to their customers worldwide.”
