American Airlines Cargo has unveiled its 2025/2026 winter widebody schedule, featuring new routes, expanded frequencies, and its highest widebody capacity out of Latin America since 2022. The expanded schedule underscores the carrier’s strategy to strengthen key global trade corridors and meet growing cargo demand across the Americas, transpacific, and transatlantic markets.
Strengthening Latin American Connectivity
Latin America remains central to American’s cargo network, with notable service expansions from Miami (MIA), Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW), and New York (JFK).
This winter, the airline will introduce a fourth daily flight between Miami International Airport (MIA) and Buenos Aires Ezeiza International Airport (EZE), operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, marking a significant capacity boost on one of its strongest cargo lanes.
Additionally, daily service will commence from DFW to both Rio de Janeiro Galeão International Airport (GIG) and EZE using Boeing 787 aircraft, while JFK–GIG will also gain daily widebody operations. These enhancements reflect American’s continued investment in high-demand Latin American markets and provide expanded options for exporters and freight forwarders across the region.
Expanding Across the Pacific
In the transpacific sector, American is enhancing its Oceania footprint with new and reinstated routes connecting the United States to Australia and New Zealand.
A new Los Angeles (LAX)–Brisbane (BNE) service will be introduced, complemented by the return of daily flights from DFW to both Brisbane and Auckland (AKL), operated by Boeing 787-9 and 787-8 aircraft, respectively.
These services bolster American’s long-haul cargo capacity and strengthen its connectivity to Oceania, a key region for perishables, pharmaceuticals, and e-commerce logistics.
Transatlantic and Domestic Additions
Across the Atlantic, American will launch daily service from Miami to Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG), supporting transatlantic trade flows between North America and Europe. Domestically, new service from Chicago O’Hare (ORD) to Honolulu (HNL) will enhance inter-island and transpacific connectivity, supporting freight movements between the mainland U.S., Hawaii, and Asia-Pacific markets.
Strategic Growth for Global Cargo Demand
“We are entering this season with new routes, increased frequencies, and our highest widebody capacity out of Latin America since 2022 to offer customers more solutions for connecting freight across the world,” said Roger Samways, Vice President, Commercial, American Airlines Cargo. “From Latin America to the Pacific and across the Atlantic, we’re strategically expanding our widebody network to meet growing demand and provide greater cargo capacity on key global trade lanes.”
