AmWorld Group has completed the acquisition of Crossflight, marking a strategic expansion designed to enhance its integrated logistics capabilities across domestic and international markets.

The transaction strengthens AmWorld Group’s position in the express logistics sector and broadens its service portfolio across courier, freight, fulfilment, and specialist logistics solutions. Following the acquisition, the combined organisation will operate an expanded network offering end-to-end supply chain services spanning road, air, and sea freight, alongside domestic and international courier operations.

Expanded Service Capabilities

The integration of Crossflight into AmWorld Group is expected to significantly enhance service depth across multiple logistics verticals. The combined business will now offer warehousing, e-commerce fulfilment, project and event logistics, and specialist handling services including IT asset management, fine art transportation, and same-day delivery solutions.

Additional capabilities will include air charter services and certified secure destruction, positioning the group as a multi-service logistics provider capable of handling both standardised and highly specialised supply chain requirements.

AmWorld stated that the acquisition will immediately extend operational reach for existing Crossflight customers, providing access to a wider global network and a more diversified service offering.

Strategic Alignment and Service Focus

Rather than being driven solely by scale, the acquisition was positioned as a values-led strategic alignment. The company emphasised that both organisations share a common approach to service quality, operational standards, and customer-centric logistics solutions.

According to the group, the integration is intended to preserve Crossflight’s established service ethos while leveraging AmWorld’s broader infrastructure to enhance efficiency and market reach.

Leadership Perspective

AmWorld Group Chief Executive Ian Bolton described the acquisition as the outcome of a deliberate and carefully structured process focused on long-term compatibility rather than rapid consolidation.

He noted that the priority throughout discussions was identifying a partner aligned in operational philosophy and customer service standards, particularly in sectors where reliability, speed, and specialist handling requirements are critical.

Market Context

The acquisition comes amid continued consolidation in the UK and European logistics sector, where providers are increasingly seeking to expand service portfolios through targeted mergers and acquisitions. Demand for integrated logistics solutions—particularly in e-commerce fulfilment, time-critical delivery, and specialist cargo handling—continues to drive structural change across the industry.

By combining infrastructure and service capabilities, AmWorld Group is positioning itself to compete more effectively in a market increasingly defined by end-to-end logistics integration and multi-channel delivery solutions.

Outlook

Following integration, the enlarged group is expected to focus on operational alignment, network optimisation, and service expansion across key logistics segments. The combined platform is anticipated to support both SME and enterprise customers with scalable solutions across domestic and global supply chains.
