Atlas Air Inc., a leader in global outsourced aviation logistics, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SATS Limited and Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) to enhance their collaboration and expand their networks globally.
The MoU builds on the strong partnerships Atlas Air already shares with SATS and WFS, particularly in North America, where WFS provides handling services for Atlas Air at major hubs including Chicago, Dallas Fort Worth, Houston, New York JFK, and Seattle, among others. The agreement also extends to Singapore and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, further solidifying ties in key regions.
This partnership aims to integrate Atlas Air’s extensive freighter network, which includes the world’s largest fleet of Boeing 747 freighters, with SATS’ cargo handling services and WFS’ ground operations. Together, they plan to address the growing demands of the air cargo industry, particularly in e-commerce, perishables, pharmaceuticals, and high-value shipments.
A key component of this collaboration is the push toward digital transformation and automation. The three companies will work on advanced technologies that improve cargo traceability and supply chain visibility, ensuring greater efficiency and reliability for customers. The partnership also highlights their commitment to sustainability, with joint efforts to reduce the environmental footprint of air cargo operations.

SATS President and CEO Kerry Mok also expressed excitement about the potential of this expanded partnership. “We’re eager to work with Atlas Air and WFS to create efficient, value-added services that enhance speed, traceability, and competitiveness in the air cargo supply chain,” he said.
Together, SATS, WFS, and Atlas Air handle over 237,800 tonnes of airfreight annually across their global network, with some 5,300 freighter flights annually supporting this massive logistics operation.
As the air cargo landscape continues to evolve, this partnership is poised to deliver substantial benefits to customers, ensuring faster, more reliable service while positioning all three companies as leaders in the rapidly changing industry.
