Effective September 1, 2026, Saulius Bajarunas will lead the global MRO provider, succeeding Zilvinas Lapinskas following his move to Avia Solutions Group.
FL Technics has appointed Saulius Bajarunas as its new Chief Executive Officer, with the leadership transition set to take effect on September 1, 2026. He succeeds Zilvinas Lapinskas, who recently assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at the company’s parent organization, Avia Solutions Group. The appointment has been confirmed by the company.
A long-serving member of the FL Technics leadership team, Bajarunas has played a pivotal role in the company’s international expansion and operational growth. Having spent more than nine years in the aviation industry—including over seven years as Chief Operating Officer—he brings extensive experience in aircraft maintenance operations, business development, operational excellence, and leading multinational teams.
As Chief Executive Officer, Bajarunas will oversee the company’s global operations while driving its long-term strategic development. His priorities will include strengthening operational performance, enhancing service quality, and delivering sustained value for customers, business partners, and employees across FL Technics’ international network.
Commenting on his appointment, Bajarunas said the company has established itself as a trusted maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) partner with a strong global presence. He added that his focus would be on building on this foundation, maintaining high standards of quality and reliability, and helping customers navigate the evolving dynamics of the global aviation market.
Outgoing CEO Zilvinas Lapinskas, who led FL Technics through a period of significant international growth before moving to Avia Solutions Group, expressed confidence in his successor. He noted that the company now has a strong global footprint, a highly capable team, and a solid platform for continued expansion, adding that Bajarunas is well positioned to lead the business into its next phase of growth.
