The WACO System (WACO) member for Portugal, Extra Transportes Internacionais, has celebrated 45 years of operations and 37 years as the Portuguese representative of the global freight network.
Extra Transportes Internacionais is a specialist in air and maritime cargo into and out of the Iberian Peninsula, as well as Customs service and storage and distribution solutions across Portugal.
“Extra Transportes was started by four like-minded and ambitious individuals in 1976 to provide a service that customers could rely on and trust,” said António Freitas, Managing Director Advisor and Network Support Manager, Extra Transportes Internacionais.
“Since first opening our doors, we now have offices in Lisbon and Porto, and as we continue to move forward, we are introducing new and automated facilities which will diversify our services to cater to customers in e-commerce, aerospace, and Food and Beverage.”
WACO is a global network of freight and logistics specialists that promotes business development, improves international collaboration, and provides supply chain solutions through its member businesses.
WACO has been growing its global footprint with the addition of Gollcher Group and AAA-A2 Cargo as the members for Malta and Russia respectively.
United Arab Emirates member Freightworks has recently expanded its operations with a new 15,000 square metre warehouse in Dubai World Central, Jebel Ali.
Earlier in 2021, Slync.io became a WACO Associate Vendor Member to provide network members access to an automated system that can identify and resolve exceptions through a simple and adaptable interface.
