The North Carolina-based Air Cargo carrier has entered into a long-term sub-service partnership agreement with AELF and Maleth Aero to begin charter operations with two (2) A330-200 aircraft in September 2020.

This pair of A330-200 aircraft are configured as “auxiliary freighters” with the passenger seats removed providing substantial additional cubic volume and weight capacity for loose upper deck cargo, allowing the carriage of e-commerce, mail bags, pharma, PPE, certain perishables, and general cargo. The lower deck is equipped with eight and a half PMC pallet positions standardly equipped on the A330-200.

These unique aircraft are capable of carrying a maximum payload of 50 tons, and 232 cubic meters (CBM’s). 21 Air, as the marketing representative for this venture, plans to satisfy specific flight programs that meet these requirements for several international routings.

“21 Air continues to expand its service capabilities to appeal to a wider group of shippers and freight forwarders. Adding these two Airbus A330-200 Auxiliary Freighters increases capacity and network reach, including ETOPS & worldwide operations, during a time when air cargo demand has shifted a larger share to all-cargo aircraft” said Roy Linkner, 21 Air’s Chief Commercial Officer.

21 Air was founded in 2014 and based out of North Carolina and Miami, provides ACMI, CMI, and worldwide charter cargo services to global customers. The airline has DOT Economic Authority to conduct both interstate and foreign all-cargo charter and scheduled services. www.21air.us
