Softlink Global, the digital backbone platform supporting freight and logistics operations for more than 5,100 companies worldwide, has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MatchLog, the world’s largest container-reuse platform, to address persistent container inefficiencies across Asian and regional trade lanes.
Under the partnership, Logi-Sys, Softlink Global’s intelligent cloud-based ERP, will act as the core enterprise platform into which MatchLog’s container optimisation and reuse capabilities are natively embedded. As the system of record for freight forwarding, customs, warehousing, compliance and financial operations, Logi-Sys will now integrate container asset efficiency and reuse planning directly into live operational workflows.
The collaboration strengthens Logi-Sys’s position as a unified operational platform, extending its role beyond transaction management into active container asset optimisation. By embedding container reuse intelligence within core ERP processes, logistics service providers can reduce empty container movements, improve utilisation rates and enhance planning predictability across both regional and cross-border operations.
Commenting on the partnership, Amit Maheshwari, Founder and CEO of Softlink Global, said: “Container optimisation cannot live outside the core operating system of a logistics company. By embedding MatchLog’s reuse intelligence directly into Logi-Sys, we are extending ERP from transaction management into asset efficiency. This gives our customers tighter cost control, better planning discipline and cleaner execution—without adding operational complexity.”
From MatchLog’s perspective, the partnership directly addresses long-standing imbalances in container flows across Asia-Pacific trade lanes. Manish Singh, Co-Founder of MatchLog, said: “Trade lanes across the Asia-Pacific region continue to face persistent container imbalance and empty repositioning challenges. Through this collaboration, we are taking a decisive step toward making container optimisation a seamless part of every logistics workflow. Integrating this capability within enterprise ERP systems like Logi-Sys empowers operators to strengthen asset utilisation, lower costs and accelerate progress toward more sustainable and efficient supply chains.”
Softlink Global’s Logi-Sys platform is deployed in more than 100 countries, supporting over one million users globally. The integration with MatchLog is designed to scale rapidly across Softlink’s existing enterprise customer base, enabling logistics companies to adopt container reuse practices in a standardised yet regionally adaptable manner.
MatchLog has already seen strong adoption across key Asian trade corridors and works with leading global shipping lines, including Maersk, Hapag-Lloyd and Pacific International Lines. Through its integration with Logi-Sys, MatchLog’s optimisation capabilities are set to reach a significantly broader enterprise audience, accelerating digital transformation and sustainability outcomes across the container logistics ecosystem.
